we wear furry jackets...

so, guess what...Riley and Elizabeth are here! and have been since last wednesday...we've been trying to keep them busy as best we can...last saturday we went to Assisi just to get them out of the city...and Sunday we went to Mass at the Vatican...and then watched the Pope give his 12 oclock prayer on his balcony...there were a ton of people...and his window is really far away, so now i just automatically picture the Pope as this very tiny man...anyway...this is more of just and update post, since I'm supposed to be working on my final paper right now...but i couldn't stand the thought of Addison checking my blog every day and not having anything to comment on...

it has been pretty funny having the four of us together...i feel like we all scream tourist...and furman...we really are furman kids and you can tell...for example, we had fajitas one night, but the rice failed...so we had rice sculpting competitions...we also dressed up a column in Assisi to look like a person and took pictures with it...and to top it all off, we dress completely different than anyone here...even the other tourists...all 4 of us have those furry mtn. hardware jackets...all in different colors...so, we don't exactly blend...

well, Assisi was beautiful...Rome is getting really cold...the birds are crazy here (see pictures)...and we are going to a jazz festival tonight! should be fun...

love you all
peace

Oh my gosh you FINALLY updated your blog... GEEZE! It's sad but I DO check it everyday... Well I'm glad you have a newfound view of the pope... I don't think I'm going to go to Chick-fil-a... the drive back home and back to Furman during exams would be too much... Only one month until Christmas!!!!

hii - i actually didnt cry when i read that! I am still embarrassed about the skype date- hearing you and riley talking together really was just too much. i like the bird pictures a lot and wish i could see pics of yalls matching jackets. addison's post reminds me of the little H2O intolerant fish in Finding Nemo that says "Nemoth THwimming out to Shea!"...whew, great movie...you should come to my apartment sometime and see it! Happy turkey day
